Our Management

Anders is the founder of AKJ and works closely with the subsidiaries on both strategic and financial matters. He has been instrumental in attracting top global talent to the board, which since its inception has developed strategies to enable the company to deliver continuous growth. Anders is also a director of AK Jensen, Inc. and AK Jensen Limited, each wholly owned subsidiaries of the company. In 1995, Anders established the NASD brokerage AK Jensen, Inc. In 1998, in partnership with Leif H. Olsen, former Chief Economist of Citibank, he founded the AKJ Hedge Fund. In 2002, he established the European FSA brokerage AK Jensen Limited and in 2003, formed the group company AK Jensen Group, Limited. Anders holds a degree in business administration from the University of Denver and special student studies from Harvard University.

As Director of European Sales at eXGEN Securities, Sean marketed independent research and brokerage services to institutional clients. Prior to that, he was Head of Portfolio Trading Sales at Bear Stearns International, which he joined after his tenure at Instinet UK as Manager of Trading Research. In these positions, he marketed portfolio trading and electronic connectivity and provided transaction cost analysis services across Europe to institutions, hedge funds and brokers. Sean holds an MBA in Finance from Columbia Business School, where he graduated as a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma international honor society and a B.S. in marketing from Rutgers College. He is a member of the CFA Institute/UKSIP and is a CFA charterholder. In 2005, Sean joined AK Jensen Limited as Head of Business Development and assumed the Chief Executive Officer position of the company in 2007.

In 1989, Svend Erik began his career in risk management at Vesta Dial insurance in Norway and joined the futures and options department at Finansbroker in 1994. He holds a Series 4, Series 7 and Series 24 from the National Association of Securities Dealers. In 1995, Svend Erik became the third employee of AKJ, acting as Head of Compliance and Systems Development. He assumed the Chief Operating Officer position in 2000 and became President of AK Jensen, Inc. in 2007, and Executive Director of AK Jensen Group, Limited in 2008.

After earning a degree in business administration and management at the University of Virginia, Pablo worked for Andersen Consulting in both Spain and Portugal. In 1993, he joined the Espirito Santo Group, where he held positions as Risk Controller in Madrid and Director of the Spanish Market and Risk Manager in Paris. Pablo joined AKJ in 2000 as Head of Connectivity and Exchange Systems.

Formerly with Merrill Lynch Private Bank in Switzerland, Alfredo previously held positions with the U.N. A polyglot, Alfredo most likely speaks your language. He also holds an MSc in International Affairs and a Series 7 from the National Association of Securities Dealers. In 2001, he joined AKJ as Relationship Manager and assumed the position of Head of Brokerage Sales in 2003.

Henrik has a long standing career in establishing, developing and managing transatlantic business opportunities, having worked for companies like Saab Aircraft, Hagstromer & Qviberg Fondkommission and Finans Skandic. Between 1995 and 1998, he served as President of Saab Aircraft of America, and from 1993 to 1995, he was the President of Saab Aircraft Finance Corporation. In 1986, Henrik established and headed the New York office of Hagstromer & Qviberg Fondkommission, a Swedish investment bank and brokerage house. Henrik has an MBA in international business and finance from the Stockholm School of Economics and attended the MBA program at NYU, as well as the Executive Management Program at Wharton School. Henrik joined AK Jensen Group, Limited in 2007 as Chief Financial Officer.

Richard was previously Vice Chairman of the Virt-x stock exchange, CEO of Tradepoint, Director at Instinet and Executive Director at the London Stock Exchange. He was also Managing Director and COO of Global Investment Banking and Head of Finance Europe, as well as Head of Corporate Derivatives at Bankers Trust. He also worked as Vice President at Charterhouse Bank and as a partner at Price Waterhouse. Richard is a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers and a fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. Richard joined AKJ in 2001 as Executive Vice President.

Felicity holds a Masters in Business and Finance from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh. She started her career in the Information Department of the EU Delegation in Oslo, Norway, working on economic, commercial and political issues. Felicity joined AK Jensen Limited as an Associate in the Operations department in 2003 and was promoted to Head of Operations in 2005. She assumed the current position of Business Manager in 2006.

Jo was formerly with Merrill Lynch International in London, where he spent four years developing software for the Portfolio Trading desk. Prior to Merrill Lynch Jo earned his Master of Science in Information Systems at Southampton University. Jo joined AK Jensen Limited in 2004, was promoted to Vice President Client Services in 2005, and assumed the position of Head of Execution Services in 2007.

Prior to joining AKJ, Phil worked in London for over ten years managing the Back Office operations of a major global hedge fund. Phil holds a BA with Honors in Development Studies from the University of East Anglia and an MA in Japanese from the University of Sheffield. Phil joined AK Jensen Limited in 2006 to head up the Back Office department in Bucharest.

In 1994, Anita co-founded Securion AS before she became the Chief Financial Officer of a major venture development company, where she and the management team worked in partnership with entrepreneurs to develop and transform early stage businesses for high value growth. Anita holds a Master of Science from the Norwegian School of Management. Anita joined AKJ in 2001 as Financial Director.

In his career, Alan has been Chairman of 3i, Head of Price Waterhouse London, and Deputy Chairman of Cable and Wireless. Alan joined AKJ in 2001 as Chairman.

David is the Executive General Manager of a family owned group of companies that operates in the Financial and IT sectors in Switzerland, USA and Spain. An Electronic Engineer by trade, David graduated from the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne and joined AKJ in 2000 as Director.

Malcolm came to AKJ from his previous position as CEO of the largest order-routing network in the world, GL Trade LNE. Prior to GL Trade, he was Managing Director of TrackData EMEA, a listed financial information distribution provider. He also worked as UK Sales Manager for APDJ Telerate. In 2003, Malcolm joined AKJ as Executive Director.

Since 2006, John has served as CFO International Operations of Transaction Network Services, Inc. (NYSE:TNS). He was previously Vice President, International Finance of the communication provider’s International Services Division. Prior to joining Transaction Network Services, John spent almost a decade with Sola International Inc., formerly a US NYSE quoted company, where he held the European Financial Controller position for four years. Prior to that, he completed his professional training with Ernst and Young, Dublin. John holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University College Dublin and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland. Since joining AK Jensen Group, Limited in 2006 as Director, John has provided an insider's perspective of developments within the communication business and advice on financial matters and market positioning.

Since 2004, Alex has served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Financial Services division of Transaction Network Services (NYSE:TNS) . Prior to joining TNS, Alex was vice president of the software firm Cicada, establishing close links with a number of major stock exchanges. Prior to that, he held the position as Head of Sales EMEA at Savvis in London where he oversaw the integration of Cable & Wireless’ European customers, post acquisition. He also spent a decade with Thompson Financial Services where he held positions including managing director of its UK online analytics division. Before that, he was Vice President of Sales at IXNet, now part of Global Crossing. In 2006, Alex joined AK Jensen Limited as Director.
