Gunnar joined AKJ in 2021 through the firm's acquisition of FMG Malta Ltd. and affiliated entities. He has served as CEO of AK Jensen Investment Management in the UK since 2021. In February 2025, he additionally assumed the role of Interim CEO of AK Jensen Norway AS, while continuing to lead the UK business. Following the conclusion of his interim role in Norway in August 2026, he returned his full focus to AK Jensen Investment Management. He was the co-founder of NexGen Management Limited and RiskCap International Ltd and served as Partner and Group COO at FMG. Gunnar began his career at Avanse Forvalting AS (now DnB Asset Management) and then became Head of Trading at E*Trade Norway prior to joining FMG.
Gunnar holds a Master’s degree in International Finance from the University of Glasgow and has completed executive programs at INSEAD.
